Community Development
In addition to the economic, business and investment roles that the Economic Development department fulfills, our department also delivers many community development services. Each year, our department leads the production of Tumbler Ridge’s Visitor Information Guide and Geopark maps and Relocation Guides. The department also project manages the Street Banner design and production and signage around town. Recent signage upgrades include directional signage around town, the new Visitor Information Centre sign, trail head information signs and trail directional signage.
The Economic Development Office also leads on most of the printed marketing efforts for the community and the Tumbler Ridge UNESCO Global Geopark. This includes campaigns such as the marketing billboards in Grande Prairie and Prince George, tradeshow backdrop banners and pullup banners. The department has also typically led on organizing and paying for booths at tradeshows.
