Building Permits & Inspection
The building permit office was established to assist new developments fit into the current community layout. The department exists to assist with the planning and implementation of new projects so that they make sense while ensuring the best interests of the community are not overlooked. It is important to note that the responsibility lies on the building owner to ensure that a building permit is acquired before any work is done and to arrange for an inspection.

Inspections are carried out by Ken Klikach, Building Official (250) 242-4242 ext 233, or kklikach@dtr.ca.
